Wymondham ideal for countryside lovers

Wymondham ideal for countryside lovers

The town of Wymondham in Norfolk could be the ideal relocating destination for those hoping to discover a more laid back form of living.

With plenty of property for sale in Wymondham, now could be the time for people wanting to move away from busy urban areas to find out more about living in smaller and more rural towns.

There are plenty of attractions to be found in this historic market town, which is currently home to around 12,000 people and is very picturesque due to its range of 19th century flint buildings.  The old market cross in the centre of the town was built in 1617, making it just one of a number of different places that are bound to interest history fans.

Of course, one of the downside of living in a rural area can be the need to once in a while seek out larger facilities, especially for a spot of retail therapy.

The good news is that Wymondham is well served by a railway station which offers a service to nearby Dereham, from where larger cities such as Norwich can be easily reached for those one-off days out.

Wymondham's train station has been voted one of the country's best stations in the National Rail Awards and even has a Brief Encounters-themed restaurant. It was also featured in a number of episodes of the famous BBC comedy Dad's Army.

Other popular local attractions include Amazona Zoo, the Radar Museum and Sandringham, while the town is close by to a number of beaches and countryside walks.

Wymondham is also home to a number of famous people, including travel writer Bill Bryson and musician Justin Hawkins who both live in the area.ADNFCR-1222-ID-801715517-ADNFCR
