Wymondham could be the answer to property hunters' dreams

Wymondham could be the answer to property hunters' dreams

The small market town of Wymondham, located in Oxfordshire to the west of Norwich, is bursting with character and stories to tell, something that those looking at property for sale in Wymondham will soon discover.

The town has a fascinating history dating back to the 16th century and the Great Fire of Wymondham which affected large parts of the town. Wymondham is also home to famous faces such as writer Bill Bryson and musician Justin Hawkins who both live close by.

It's not hard to see why the place is so popular either, lying just outside the lively city of Norwich while also not being very far away from London. The town is in a great location and also offers great transport links to both cities as well as smaller towns and villages around the area. The town's train station has been voted the best small station down the years in the National Rail Awards and contains a Brief Encounters-themed restaurant.

There are a number of things that residents can do and see to keep themselves occupied including Amazona Zoo, the Radar Museum and Sandringham. There are also beaches, gardens and lovely countryside walks that make the region even more special. If all those suggestions sound a little too pedestrian for you then the bigger cities in the area offer excellent nightlife, restaurants and other more modern pursuits.

Property prices in the region are also favourable for buyers too. Standing at £148,099 in August 2010, prices were considerably cheaper than the national average of £166,742. This is an impressive figure especially when considering the region is in the, usually expensive, south of England. So, why not take a look through the houses available in the area? If they are anything like as impressive as the region surrounding them then they'll be in popular demand.ADNFCR-1222-ID-800730562-ADNFCR
