Within Dartmoor National Park lies the charming town of Ashburton

The small Devonshire town of Ashburton offers all the advantages that those looking to live within rural countryside crave.

Located within the perimeters of the delightful Dartmoor National Park, Ashburton is surrounded by plush Devonshire countryside perfect for a stroll outdoors or more intensive walking and hiking. That's not to say it is remote however, a number of roads link various villages and town within the area's confines.

People are attracted to property for sale in Ashburton for a number of other reasons also. One such reason is the proximity to the stunning south coast of England. A number of charming towns are dotted along the English Riviera including Teignmouth, Torquay and Brixham. As with many towns in the area they offer a fantastic day out complete with tasty cuisine and picturesque views.

Internally, Ashburton has got a lot going for it. It is the largest town within Dartmoor National Park having grown from being a stannary town used as an administrative centre for the local tin mining community.

The town is home to a number of delightful pubs and cafes. It is also home to all manner of shops, many being family run with plenty of history. This all means that you can go about your daily shopping requirements easily and what's more all the buildings within the town offer their own Devonshire charm due to their interesting architecture and fascinating back-stories.

It is easy to access via the M5 and A38 with the town lying just off the latter and although the town doesn't have a train station anymore there are plenty of airports within the Cornwall and Devon regions.

The beautiful landscape of Ashburton is just one aspect that works for the town and when you throw in all the other plus points it makes sense to consider it as a place to settle down.ADNFCR-1222-ID-800778182-ADNFCR
