Volume of discounted properties dropping in UK

The number of prime properties across the country that are having to be discounted in order to find a buyer is dropping, a new survey has found.

According to PrimeLocation, the number of homes with a value over £1 million that were being reduced in price last year sat at 27 per cent, but the company said that this had fallen this year to now sit at 18 per cent.

It said that this was the lowest level that the figure had reached since the summer of 2010, and it also follows a recent fall in the number of properties across the country overall that are being brought down in price.

Lawrence Hall of PrimeLocation said: "The drop over the past 12 months in the number of prime properties with reduced asking prices has been a significant one, indicating that at the top end of the market sellers are generally feeling a lot more bullish now than they were this time last year."ADNFCR-1222-ID-801594204-ADNFCR
