Unique property for sale in Sussex

People looking for houses for sale in Sussex have been offered an opportunity to own a unique mansion, although it comes with a price tag of nearly £5 million.

The Modernist building in Itchenor, West Sussex was commissioned by Stephen Haines, a greetings card magnate who has never spent a night in the building, the Daily Mail reports.

He enlisted the help of architect Neil Holland to create a mansion with influences from the Far East, featuring a pagoda-like design and open spaces in the interior.

Mr Haines and his family have never lived in the house, having moved to Guernsey before it was completed - meaning people seeking property for sale in Sussex can snap it up for a mere £4.95 million.

"If I could pick it up and plonk it down in Guernsey I would," he told the newspaper.

Those looking for interesting property for sale in Sussex have several other options, after a historic former windmill in Lewes was put up for auction this month.ADNFCR-1222-ID-800555357-ADNFCR
