Taylor Wimpey confident about property market

UK property developer Taylor Wimpey has given off good signals for those looking interested in property for sale in Yorkshire by claiming that housing market conditions over recent months are encouraging.

Taylor Wimpey, which is the UK's second-largest homes builder, claims it is upbeat about prospects for the housing market thanks to an improvement on its half-year results.

The Yorkshire arm of the company has already built new property developments in Bradford, Wakefield, and Upper Haugh while it also hopes to open a new site in Allerton Bywater.

Analyst Richard Curr from Prime Markets, told the Yorkshire Post: "Recession, what recession? Since half-year results in August, UK-focused Taylor Wimpey has remained largely unaffected by the sovereign debt problems in Europe, and remains firmly on course to deliver on previous guidance."

Taylor Wimpey reported an average private net reservation of 0.55 sales per outlet for the second half, compared with 0.47 in the same period last year.
