Stowmarket offers more sedate way of life

Stowmarket offers more sedate way of life

The South-East town of Stowmarket could be the ideal destination for anyone wanting to enjoy a more sedate pace of living.

Stowmarket is home to around 19,000 people and benefits from being close to Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich. This is reflected in the growing popularity of the area with families and young professionals.

"Even though it is growing in size and population Stowmarket still hasn’t lost its charm, with a variety of listed buildings, typical of Suffolk's towns and villages," explains the Stowmarket Town Council's website.

There is plenty of choice of property for sale in Stowmarket and many homes are located close to the popular green areas in the town.

Those who enjoy outside exercise will be tempted by the numerous nature trails and the various wooded areas, which offer the perfect chance to get outside in the fresh air.

Stowmarket also (as the name suggests!) has a regular market which takes place on Thursday and Saturday and offers a great chance to stock up on local produce and goods.

The highlight of Stowmarket's calendar is the annual Stow-Fest, which sees performances from a number of local and national bands, and attracts visitors from across the UK.ADNFCR-1222-ID-801803514-ADNFCR
