When you think of big cities young people migrate to for university or when looking for their first big break in employment, it is easy to turn to destinations like London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool and Newcastle.

However, there are plenty of other destinations around the UK that offer a good standard of living and provide the city atmosphere which is popular among a certain age group.

The city centre is home to two large live music venues, while the main shopping areas can be found around Above Bar Street, London Road and High Street. West Quay and The Mall Marlands provide indoor retail.
