'Soft colours' in style for houses for sale in London

Buyers looking to brighten up property for sale in London before moving in should focus on 'soft colours' it has been advised.

Dull colours such as beige and creams are on the way out, according to interior designer Susan Llewellyn.

The Susan Llewellyn Associates founder claims the recent nostalgic trend has influenced home decoration.

She explained: "People are going for muted pinks, turquoises and blues.

"All those colours in soft tones because they are complementary to [the trend for] going back in history."

These colours are also "easy on the eye" and comfortable to live with, she added.

Houses for sale in London are currently considered a good investment due to rising property values in the city.

Prime London property experienced price rises of 0.9 per cent in June, boosting annual growth to 8.3 per cent, Knight Frank has revealed.
