Retro furnishing is emerging as an interior design trend, according to ProblemSolved.co.uk founder Alison Cork.

The interior designer claims people are taking comfort from classic designs in the face of job insecurities and financial worries.

Even television programming is looking back to the past, claims the former Home In The Country presenter.

She explained: "They all reflect this need for people to seek some sort of comfort and reassurance from what's come before."

If any interior design trend is likely to emerge in the coming months, its likely to be a retro trend, she added.
