Residential property prices on the up.

House prices across the UK are continuing to show positive signs of recovery, according to new figures.

Data from Hometrack shows average prices rose by 0.7 per cent in February - up from 0.3 per cent in the previous month.

The figures also showed house prices have increased in more than half of the UK and Hometrack are predicting all regions could experience positive growth over the next year.

Richard Donnell, director of research at Hometrack, said: "The housing recovery continues to spread across the country, building on the momentum that started a year ago.

"The latest survey shows that house prices increased across 51 per cent of the country in February, the greatest coverage of house price growth for almost a decade."

London and the South East showed the strongest increase growth during the month with prices rising by 1.1 per cent and 0.9 per cent respectively - welcome news for local estate agents.ADNFCR-1222-ID-801701202-ADNFCR
