Buyers looking for their ideal property for sale in Oxfordshire may also want to consider the benefits of renewable energy.

Rural properties in the county may be expensive to heat, particularly those with no mains gas supply, according to UK Energy Saving.

The consumer resource believes all homeowners should consider the potential carbon savings of using renewable fuel.

In addition, the upcoming Renewable Heat Incentive will see eligible rural homeowners paid for each unit of energy produced from renewable sources in 2012.

Hayley Jones, web marketing director for UK Energy Saving, says installing a renewable energy source may be expensive, but the investment will pay off in the longer term.

She commented: "Particularly in properties without mains gas, it is worth considering - from a cost as well as environmental perspective - whether a renewable energy source such as a wood-fired boiler is a viable option."

Houses for sale in Oxfordshire could prove ideal for families looking to get closure to nature in a beautiful setting.

The Chilterns, considered an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, stretch from Oxfordshire to Hertfordshire, covering 47 miles.ADNFCR-1222-ID-800583116-ADNFCR
