Property to rent in Norfolk: Have a good relationship with landlords

People interested in property to rent in Norfolk and other parts of the country have been told that a good relationship between landlords and tenants is of paramount importance.

The comments follow a survey of members of the National Landlords Association (NLA), which revealed that 95 per cent of respondents would describe their relations with tenants as good or very good.

However, David Lawrenson, private rented sector expert at LettingFocus.com, said this data is unlikely to be representative of the national picture.

"They are likely to be more professional and are therefore likely to have good relationships with their tenants because they have got up and taken the trouble to join the NLA," he explained.

Mr Lawrenson went on to say that while landlords do not have to be friends with their tenants, they should at least have a "proactive business relationship" with them and should be expected to solve problems quickly when they are reported.ADNFCR-1222-ID-800691973-ADNFCR
