Property investors still purchasing in London safe haven

People looking to invest in property are still looking at London as the safe place to purchase when looking for a good return on investment.

Since the economic downturn in 2007, house prices across the UK have fallen repeatedly, but London has often seemed to be immune to these reductions.

According to Ed Mead, director at Douglas & Gordon, there are still a high number of people looking to invest in this market because of the security it offers.

"London continues to be seen as a safe haven and values continue to remain steady. They are not going up at the moment, but they are remaining steady and supply is very low. On that basis, I think that more of the same is what is likely," he said.

Mr Mead added that the volume of available homes in the capital is likely to stay low over the next few years, which will mean that there is a steady continuation of this investment trend.ADNFCR-1222-ID-801441430-ADNFCR
