Positive outlook to boost interest in houses for sale in Kent?

A more positive outlook on the UK housing market could see more buyers viewing property for sale in Kent.

Consumers were more optimistic in April, with more than a third (41 per cent) believing it was a good time to invest, according to the Building Societies Association (BSA).

In addition, the proportion of people who thought it was not a good time to buy fell from 29 per cent in March to 21 per cent in April.

The BSA's property tracker also found that one of the key barriers to homeownership for many was also on the decline.

Job security fell by nine percentage points on a list of factors holding back buyers.

Paul Broadhead, head of mortgage policy at the BSA, added: "For the first time since September last year a greater proportion of respondents think that house prices will rise rather than fall in the following 12 months."

Houses for sale in Kent may experience a price boost, according to figures from the Department for Communities and Local Government.

The south-east of England was one of three UK regions that saw a rise above the national average in April.ADNFCR-1222-ID-800581553-ADNFCR
