Oldbury celebrates family life

Oldbury celebrates family life

Many families consider moving away from heavily populated areas and Oldbury could offer that relaxed pace of life.

There is plenty of property for sale in Oldbury to suit most budgets and it does have plenty of facilities for those with young children.

Oldbury has three different secondary schools - Bristnall Hall Academy, Oldbury Academy and Perryfields High School - as well as a number of primary schools.

One other advantage of Oldbury is that it is well-placed for those who work in Birmingham. There are regular bus services that take less than 20 minutes - so a relatively easy commute.

For those who prefer to travel by train there are services not only to Birmingham, but also London and beyond.

Oldbury also manages to balance the old with the new, there is a very traditional high street, which was home to the first ever branch of Lloyd's bank, alongside a modern retail park.

One of the main features of the town is its canals, with many running through a conservation area, including the attractive Titford Pool which is one of the region's key beauty-spots.ADNFCR-1222-ID-801793010-ADNFCR
