New properties to be created in Manchester

In a move that may be welcomed by those seeking property for sale in Manchester, a new development is to get underway in the north of the city.

The first phase of a regeneration scheme in Moston and Harpurhey has been given approval and developer Redrow Homes is about to begin work on the project, Easier reports.

Competition for the dwellings may be stiff, according to the firm - which is involved in a range of new housing schemes in England, Wales and Scotland.

It revealed that there is already a waiting list of people for many of the residences.

Sales director at the organisation Christine Aitken commented: "Priority will be given to local people, with existing residents of Harpurhey and Moston wards given the first chance to buy the new properties before they go on general sale."

Meanwhile, Julie Connor, head of regeneration at Manchester City Council, added that the initiative will add momentum to the local economy and create jobs.
