New builds present more choice for homebuyers

A surge in the number of new properties built in the last few months means there will be more choice for homebuyers looking for houses for sale in England.

Today (August 19th 2010), the House Building: June Quarter 2010 figures were released by the UK Statistics Authority, showing that in the second quarter of 2010, there were 28,590 seasonally adjusted house building starts in England.

This represents an increase of 13 per cent from the previous three months and a rise of 84 per cent since the opening quarter of 2009, which was a "trough" in terms of new builds.

Private enterprises were also popular in the second three months of the 2010, as the figures revealed there were ten per cent more housing projects than in the previous quarter.

Overall, the statistics showed that throughout England, there was a rise in housing building projects during the last year - news that will encourage homebuyers who want to purchase new houses for sale.

This comes after head of consulting at Ducalian Timothy Lambert stated views concerning the property market at the moment are confusing.

He added that there are "a lot of contradicting views at present".ADNFCR-1222-ID-800032493-ADNFCR
