Move now for a summer of culture in Cornwall

While for some people, a move to the countryside may be preferable for its quiet surroundings, rolling hills and miles and miles of peaceful nothingness, there are a lot of people for whom the draw of such areas will be partaking in the sort of small town activities that are just not available in the cities of the UK.

Throughout the small countryside towns and villages of England there will be various fetes, galas and festivals taking place all summer, which can be popular, especially with tourists. However, they can also be a popular attraction for those who are looking to live in a town, as such activities can bring a real feeling of community spirit.

One town where people can move to find such an atmosphere is Wadebridge, in Cornwall. The town is small, comprising only around 7,000 residents, and so keeps the sort of small town nature that can be associated with this sort of place, allowing peace and quiet away from the big city.

However, it is during the summer that people looking for property for sale in Wadebridge can really see the town come into its own.

Wadebridge is the host of a number of annual events which could serve to bring the community as a whole together. The biggest of these is the Royal Cornwall Agricultural show, which is held in June every year.  It takes place in the Royal Cornwall Showground located just outside of Wadebridge itself.

Other notable annual events include the Cornwall Folk Festival in August, which is sure to give a feel of the countryside, and the Prime Stock Show in November. Each of these kind of events can make even the most ardent former city-dweller feel like they are an integral member of countryside society.ADNFCR-1222-ID-801260519-ADNFCR
