Monmouth will leave you speechless

Monmouth will leave you speechless

Nestled quietly just on the Welsh side of the Wales–England border lies the secluded, beautiful market-town of Monmouth.

The town has a rich history and a warm-welcome persona making it a popular place with house-hunters and day-trippers alike. The town will always have a reputation synonymous with British history as it is possibly best known as being the birthplace of Henry V. Monmouth also boasts a vast array of fascinating historical sites and ancient buildings from the Nelson Garden to The Town Hall.

The town also incorporates a medieval 13th-century bridge which crosses over the river Monnow. The bridge is the only preserved bridge of its design remaining in Britain.

The area is also well located for outdoor pursuits such as horse-riding, golf, walking and cycling. So, if you're looking for a property for sale in Monmouth and you love to get out and about to exercise in beautiful surroundings then you're in luck.

That's not to say that exercise is all there is to do, far from it. As well as the historical aspect and the aforementioned physical pursuits, the town also provides a great deal of arts and culture exhibitions and even host their own music festival. The town also has two theatres and a cinema.

Monmouth, as you may expect being not far from the border, is well located for travel to either Cardiff or across into England. Good motorway links mean that the Welsh capital, Birmingham, Bristol and London re all within reasonable reach.

Now may be the time to act for those interested in a house for sale in Monmouth, as prices are at their second lowest point this year. June 2011 saw a slight upturn however which could indicate a further rise in prices.

All in all, the charming town of Monmouth could offer everything property owners could want in beautifully traditional surroundings.ADNFCR-1222-ID-800709713-ADNFCR
