Situated on the Welsh border, the town of Monmouth is a definite option for anyone looking to move away from the city and enjoy a more rural and sedate way of life.

In terms of education, there are a number of primary schools and Monmouth Comprehensive has around 1,600 pupils - making it the largest secondary school in the area and it attracts children from a wide catchment.

Monmouth Leisure Centre is situated on the edge of the town and offers a mix of facilities that are perfect for sporty types and families. It has a number of squash courts, a sports hall, a swimming pool and a sauna, astro turf pitch, as well as dance and fitness studios.

In addition, there is a local golf course and cycle paths plus walking routes for those wanting to combine the outdoors with a spot of exercise.
