Malvern residents braced for housing meeting

Malvern residents braced for housing meeting

Due to the number of people looking at property for sale in Worcestershire, a Worcestershire county councillor has called a meeting to discuss what the Malvern area specifically can do to cope with the influx of residents.

Property hunters will be please to hear that Penelope Morgan, councillor for the Langdale ward, has called the meeting to discuss improving the areas infrastructure. The meeting will be used to garner opinions and ideas from local people as to what issues they feel need addressing.

The South Worcestershire Development Plan could see the area gain up to 1,200 homes and Cllr Morgan clearly feels that the infrastructure currently isn't up to it.

Speaking to the Malvern Gazette, Councillor Morgan said: "If we are going to have another 1,100 houses, how are we going to cope with it? We need to find out from the local population what they feel. Often they will come up with a good measured idea.

"I shall be feeding back to the county council what my colleagues and I find out."

The meeting will take place on Monday 17th October.
