Malvern: A scenic and 'uniquely beautiful place'

There are a number of places still in existence which can claim to be quintessentially British, and one of these can be explored by looking at property for sale in Malvern.

The Worcestershire spa town has Victorian roots but its history can be charted back all the way to the Iron and Bronze Ages.

Previously, Benedictine monks settled in the area and this is reflected in the older areas of the town which can be found close to Priory Church, founded in 1085.

There are a number of sights to be seen in and around Malvern, providing entertaining and relaxing days out without the need to venture too far. St Ann's Well is a source of delicious refreshments and alongside Holy Well is tucked away in the valleys, with many nice walks to explore around the area.

Malvern Theatres Complex overlooks the Priory Park and attracts some of the biggest names thanks to its West End style and atmosphere. Among the acts which appear at the venue each year include drama, ballet and opera.

Worcestershire's New Road cricket ground is just a short journey away and is renowned as being one of, if not the country's most beautiful setting.

It can be found on the bank of the River Severn and is overlooked by the imposing Worcester Cathedral. Despite having a small attendance, the ground is ideal for enjoying a quiet day out watching Championship cricket.

Malvern College, which was founded in 1865, is one of the country's top schools and is located on a 250-acre campus. It is a co-educational establishment for boarding and day pupils aged between 13 and 18.

At sixth form level it offers a range of subjects at A Level and International Baccalaureate, while a Pre-Sixth Form course was brought in during 2005 for pupils who are capable of completing individual specifications in just one year.ADNFCR-1222-ID-801327976-ADNFCR
