Loud neighbours turn buyers away from property

Loud neighbours turn buyers away from property

Selling houses through an estate agent can be difficult for most in the hard financial climate of the moment, but those who are unlucky enough to have loud neighbours will have more trouble than others, a new survey has discovered.

According to findings published by Primelocation, some 57 per cent of people who were thinking about buying a house said that noisy people would be the most likely to turn them away.

In a time when people tend to stay in homes for longer periods of time, they are now looking for better surroundings in general, so finding somewhere secure, such as flats with security gates and fob-controlled entry are other issues high on the list.

Lawrence Hall of Primelocation said: "Discerning buyers don’t simply look for a good location but want to live in a good neighbourhood too.

"The quality of the neighbours and the security of the property are both clearly important factors for prime buyers."ADNFCR-1222-ID-801581709-ADNFCR
