London gives landlords the best return

People looking for buy-to-let property for sale in London can be assured that they would be getting the best return for their money, as prices for rent continue to rise faster than elsewhere in the country.

Rents in the capital rose once againin October to an average of £1,030 per month, a rise of 0.1 per cent over September, according to the latest LSL Property Services figures.

This means that the yearly price rise in London rental properties now sits at 5.7 per cent higher than 2010 up to October.

David Newnes, director of LSL Property Services, said that the next months would see prices sit fairly still.

"The recent increases are likely to continue to level out in run up to Christmas – traditionally a slower time for the market."

Last week, Ian Potter of the Association of Registered Letting Agents reaffirmed that London had the best rental prices and sustainability power, by saying that people were engaging in bidding wars for rental homes in the capital.ADNFCR-1222-ID-801216848-ADNFCR
