Live in the 'best town on the coast'

Live in the 'best town on the coast'

Lymington is a small town situated in the New Forest region of Hampshire. The town is also a port and offers a range of activities and amenities for people who enjoy living away from the big city.

One of the biggest attractions for people looking for property for sale in Lymington is its sailing history, for which the town is famous. Lymington is known as a very difficult racing track for sailors, and has hosted many of the world's most prestigious regattas such as Macnamara's Bowl, the Royal Lymington Cup, and Etchell's Worlds.

The town also offers anyone keen to try their hand at sailing two sailing clubs to choose from. The larger of the two, The Royal Lymington Yacht Club, was founded in 1920 and has well in excess of 3,000 members.

Lymington was awarded a Channel 5 "best town on the coast award" following a TV programme to find the country's most attractive areas, beating Sanbanks off for top spot, due to its attractive scenery, strong transport links, and very low crime levels.

For people who are looking to move to Lymington for a more relaxed way to live while still working in the city, the town offers a number of attractive transport links. The train stations at Lymington Pier and Lymington Town offer strong links to the national rail network through its connection to Brockenhurst.

Commuters who travel to work by car can also find a motorway connection from the A337 to the M27 which connects it to the North of the country, and Dorset.

And for those times when people looking to move to Lymington just want to relax and forget about work, the town offers a number of leisure activities. It plays host to a nine-hole golf course, a rowing club and other amenities such as a range of outdoor tennis courts.ADNFCR-1222-ID-801226101-ADNFCR
