Landlords see rise in rental yields

Landlords across the country are seeing better returns on their
investments, as their rental yields saw an increase in the last
quarter.
According to the latest figures from the Royal Institute of
Chartered Surveyors (RICS), there was an increase in the number of
surveyors saying there had been a rise, as 15 per cent more said
yields had grown than said they had contracted.
There was also a 19 per cent difference between those who said
prices for renting had gone up, and those who said they had
decreased, meaning that there was continuing good news for those
with
property to rent in Norwich.
RICS spokesman James Lee-Scott said: "In some parts of the country
the imbalance between demand and supply forrented property suggests
that for the foreseeable future landlords will have a good if not
increasing return on their investments in comparison with other
main stream option."
Last month, LSL property services reported that prices for private
rent in the UK had increased for the ninth month in a row.
