Landlords confident of expanding portfolios

Landlords around the country are confident that the current state of the rental market will leave themwith plenty of scope to successfully expand their portfolios and add to the properties they have on their books.

According to David Lawrenon, private rented sector expert at LettingFocus.com, an increase in very savvy landlords means that they were confident with their investments and the ability to grow their operation.

He went on to say that the risingcost of rent across the country would only serve to increase confidence for landlords, such as those with houses to rent in Brighton.

Recently, figures from LSL Property Services found that rental prices had now risen to an average of £720 per month across the UK, as an increase for the ninth month in a row took effect in October.

"The studies that I have seen tend to say that even in the current economic circumstances, landlords – particularly the more experienced ones – want to buy more property and increase their property empire," said Mr Lawrenson.ADNFCR-1222-ID-801224936-ADNFCR
