Houses for sale in Portsmouth: agreements boost community spirit

Homebuyers looking to move to a city with a strong sense of community spirit could find property for sale in Portsmouth appealing.

Portsmouth City Council has arranged a series of neighbourhood agreements, which see local residents signing up to "support their community" and tackle issues such as crime and anti-social behaviour.

Houses for sale in Southsea fall under the remit of the scheme, and the Landport and Buckland agreement is due to be launched on April 2nd.

A community walkabout and photo project will take place before the agreement is made official at 1pm, with staff from local authority services available to answer residents' questions.

The initiative sees residents agree a plan of action with local organisations such as the council, fire service and police.

Voluntary groups that work to improve Portsmouth's local communities have recently been offered funding from the council to ensure their services can continue.

A £100,000 fund has been set up to help them plan for their futures in the city, beneficial to residents as well as tenants living in houses to rent in Portsmouth.ADNFCR-1222-ID-800482861-ADNFCR
