Houses for sale in Oxfordshire have 'obvious benefits'

Property for sale in Oxfordshire and other countryside locations harbour "obvious benefits", according to environment experts.

The Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE) argues that cleaner air and access to breathtaking scenery mean property for sale in Oxfordshire offers a higher quality of life.

Jack Neill-Hall, a spokesman for the campaign, believes the countryside also offers a greater sense of community.

He said: "It's no great surprise to find those who live in the countryside have a higher quality of life.

"Throughout our history a house in the country has been the dream of many an urbanite."

Halifax's Rural Areas Quality of Life Survey recently found that high earners have snapped up houses for sale in Oxfordshire, with the county's average wage totalling £822 per week.

In addition, South Oxfordshire has also reported a good standard of health as 95 per cent of households rate themselves in good or fairly good health.ADNFCR-1222-ID-800506242-ADNFCR
