House prices rose year-on-year, report reveals

The price of houses for sale rose in the 12 months leading up to November 2010, according to a recent report.

Yesterday (January 18th 2011), Communities and Local Government released its House Price Index for November 2010.

The document revealed that property values rose by four per cent over the year, taking the average mix-adjusted house price in Britain to £208,585.

It revealed that properties rose in price by 4.7 per cent in England and three per cent in Wales.

However, it also showed that costs dropped in Northern Ireland and Scotland by 11.3 per cent and 2.4 per cent respectively.

Communities and Local Government's House Price Index for October 2010 showed that first-time buyers were spending on average 3.4 per cent more on a property than they were the previous year and costs for former owners increased 6.3 per cent over the 12 months.ADNFCR-1222-ID-800352175-ADNFCR
