Homeowners 'should pick right estate agent to market property'

Homeowners have been advised to pick the right estate agent to market their properties for sale in an attempt to make the most of an increasing demand from house hunters.

According to the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA), the number of people looking to purchase properties for sale in the UK is increasing, estate agent statistics have found.

In order to make the most of this growth in demand, the organisation recommended choosing the right professionals to sell the property.

It suggested picking estate agents which can "provide the knowledge and professionalism required to give you peace of mind".

The group advised seeking out NAEA members as they are licensed to protect both buyers and sellers and "raise standards in the industry".

This comes after data reported by the NAEA last year showed that the number of house hunters registered with the average estate agent branch increased from 218 in October 2010 to 241 the following month.ADNFCR-1222-ID-800330566-ADNFCR
