Hedon: head and shoulders above the competition

East Yorkshire, home to the Humber estuary, Beverly Minster and The
Deep is also home to another gem tucked away on the east coast,
Hedon.
Hedon is a small, quiet town which offers its own brand of peace
and quiet. Home to just over 6,000 in the 2001 census, Hedon is
well located in the county of Yorkshire. It lies a short drive from
Hull and its city delights while it also situated nearby to the
east coast of the country and the east coast of Yorkshire.
Along the east coast, just a short drive away, are some great
places to visit including Scarborough, Bridlington and Filey. The
towns are all charming seaside places which offer a great day out
to residents of the region and tourists. All along the east coast
from the Humber estuary upwards, there are stunning North Sea views
available where on a sunny day you can almost see the
continent.
The region also offers delights further infield within the county.
The North Yorkshire Moors national park is around an hour's drive
northwards towards Whitby and it offers some of the most untouched,
natural countryside in Britain. In terms of other nearby active
pursuits, residents are well catered for with plenty of exercise
facilities and sports clubs in the region. Hull has its own
professional rugby and football clubs as well as a host of gyms
while smaller towns in the region house lower-league sport.
If exercise isn't your bag, Hedon and the wider region will have
you covered in terms of food, drink and shopping facilities. Hull
has a vast array of shopping facilities with all the big high
street brands and it also boasts a lively nightlife scene. Hedon,
as you may expect from a smaller town, isn't quite as happening on
a night time. However, it does boast a number of traditional,
welcoming pubs and restaurants. There is also fresh seafood
available, with the town being located close to the sea.
It's no overstatement to say that Hedon has a whole host of things
to offer to those looking at
property for sale in Hedon.
