Head to Sittingbourne

The town of Sittingbourne could be the perfect option for those who want to live in a more rural location, but still need to be in touch of the city of London.

With around 60,000 residents, the Kent town is ideal for commuters, especially those with young children, who want to relocate away from the day-to-day bustle of the capital.

The current range of property for sale in Sittingbourne may also offer more options for those with limited budgets and its strong transport links still make it easy to get to work every day.  There are regular train links from Sittingbourne station to London Victoria and St Pancras - with a journey time of around one hour.

One of the other benefits of Sittingbourne is the wide range of education options in the area, with a choice of many primary schools, with older children being able to head to either Fulston Manor School, Sittingbourne Community College or The Westlands School. There is also the option of two grammer schools - Borden Grammar School (boys) and Highsted Grammar School (girls).

In terms of leisure, there is the popular Swallows Leisure Centre, that is home to a gym and a swimming pool, as well as as hosting various sports clubs and activity classes.

For those who enjoy a spot of retail therapy, there is always the chance to catch the train to London's popular shopping streets, however, Sittingbourne does have a busy high street that offers smaller branches of the usual chains, as well as some smaller independent shops.
