'Green shoots of recovery' emerging in buy-to-let sector

Both supply and demand are increasing in the buy-to-let property sector as green shoots of recovery are emerging, it has been claimed.

Property Investor News explains that letting agents have been having a busy time of late as rents are starting to stabilise – particularly in the south of the country.

This is following the first quarter of the year in which the firm claims that the market was in a "state of flux" with a great deal of uncertainty and doubt in the industry.

Richard Bowser, editor at Property Investor News, said: "In the last couple of months we are seeing evidence – anecdotal - of green shoots of confidence and potential green shoots of recovery in the economy."

The FindaProperty.com Rental Index revealed that in June 2009, rental yields remained stable at 4.56 per cent, with average figures being 4.33 per cent for houses and 5.24 per cent for flats.
