Green Deal to benefit houses for sale in Exeter?

People viewing houses for sale in Exeter may benefit from the Green Deal energy plan due to launch next year.

Climate change minister Greg Barker has published plans that detail how homeowners can borrow up to £10,000 to make their homes more energy efficient.

The loan for green improvements is then repaid through savings on energy bills.

To ensure those who update property for sale in Exeter and across the UK get the best deal, an independent body will monitor Green Deal assessors and installers.

Mr Barker commented: "The Green Deal will be the biggest home improvement programme since the Second World War shifting our outdated draughty homes from the past into the future, so it's vital people can trust it."

Houses for sale in Exeter may also benefit from efforts from local authorities and E.ON to drive down energy bills.

Last month Exeter City Council, East Devon District Council and Devon County Council worked with the energy company to form a Low Carbon Task Force, aiming to cut carbon emissions and promote renewable energy.ADNFCR-1222-ID-800565866-ADNFCR
