Govt to boost house building

Govt to boost house building

The government is set to introduce new measures that will cut down the amount of unnecessary planning processes that are currently in place regarding property development.

These new measures will help to speed up the delivery of the new homes in the UK and help estate agents provide potential buyers with suitable property.

Under the new regulations, local authorities would have to implement a plan that ensures councils engage with the community about where new homes, businesses and services should be located.

Planning Minister Nick Boles said: “These proposals mark an important next step in streamlining the planning system and ensuring it is able to work efficiently to support the development of new homes, infrastructure and jobs we need.”

Such an announcement is likely to be received as good news in the property sector, as the market is currently in a state of imbalance regarding supply and demand.

A lack of supply has led to prices creeping ever higher in recent months, leading some to speculate about a possible housing bubble.

However, with houses being built at a faster speed the amount of supply should begin to increase moving forward.ADNFCR-1222-ID-801669709-ADNFCR
