Glastonbury: Not all about the music

Glastonbury: Not all about the music

Some towns around the country have a name that has become as much a brand as it is a settlement.

Towns such as Cheddar, Caerphilly and Kendal have been famed for their food products for example, while the same could be said for the small town of Glastonbury, which has become a place of annual pilgrimage for many music fans who attend the now legendary festival at Worthy Farm.

However, while this large event is what the town is most famous for, and provides locals with a great yearly occurrence to attend without the problems of having to travel large distances from elsewhere in the country, there are also other reasons why it can be great to look for property for sale in Glastonbury.

The Surrey town is located in some of the most beautiful scenery that can be found anywhere in England, making for a relaxing and highly-attractive area for many people to live in.

The fact that there is an abundance of green areas surrounding the town means that you will be able to take the chance to get out and about and enjoy the rural lifestyle, taking long walks and enjoying the fresh air that is a strong benefit of living away from a large city.

For families, there is also the advantage in Glastonbury of there being a large number of different schools to which parents can send their children to get the best start in life, with this always being an important consideration for those with kids.

The town is served by a number of schools, including a few primary schools, and the larger St Dunstan's Community School, where all pupils from the town will go for their secondary education.

Glastonbury is also seen as a centre of new Age way of life, and as such, the high street in the town can provide a rather quirky and fun shopping experience that is different from that which can be found anywhere else, with a large number of alternative stores prevalent within the town.ADNFCR-1222-ID-801508695-ADNFCR
