Find out more about Halifax's charm

The town of Halifax could offer a charming place for people to raise a family.

With a strong history as a major player in the wool industry, the town still has many buildings that date back to its time as a major centre.

One of the key buildings is the Victoria Theatre that hosts the annual Christmas pantomime and has welcomed a number of top stars such as Status Quo.

Sports fans looking for property for sale in Halifax may be tempted by the local sporting traditions, with the town home to rugby league and football teams - the Halifax Blue Sox and Halifax AFC.

In terms of shopping, the major retailer in the area is Harveys of Halifax. Opened in 1920's by Mr Harvey, the department store moved location in 1950 to its current home on the former Waddingtons Dress Warehouse on Rawson Street in the centre of the town.

For those with siblings Eureka! - the National Children's Museum - is the perfect attraction. I has a whole host of thrilling exhibits that will appeal to kids of all ages.

There are also annual passes that allow for multiple repeat visits to the museum and allow plenty of opportunities to discover all about the museum's offerings.ADNFCR-1222-ID-801789602-ADNFCR
