Enterprise Zone to boost demand for houses for sale in Bristol?

The creation of a new enterprise zone could increase demand for property for sale in Bristol.

Temple Quarter will be the focus of investment in the city, resulting in the creation of thousands of new jobs.

Estate agents may well see an influx of buyers searching for houses for sale in Bristol as new businesses spring up.

The zone covers 173 acres of land surrounding Bristol Temple Meads Railway station, with potential for more than 250 businesses to set up premises in the area.

It is estaimted that 17,000 jobs will be created in the zone over a 25-year period.

Colin Skellet, chairman of the West of England Local Enterprise Partnership, who selected Temple Quarter to become an Enterprize Zone, says the area will offer a number of commercial advantages, including less planning red tape and cheaper rates.

Bristol City Council leader Barbra Janke says the site has "huge potential".

She continued: "The focus on creative industries and technology firms opens up opportunities of creating a media hub in the city, and will build on the world-class reputation of Bristol and the West in these sectors."ADNFCR-1222-ID-800581560-ADNFCR
