Enhanced deals for people buying houses for sale in 2011

People looking to buy houses for sale in 2011 may benefit from enhanced deals from Norwich and Peterborough Building Society.

First-time buyers may be able to secure their place on the property ladder with deals featuring increased loan-to-value (LTV) percentages.

Richard Barker, Norwich and Peterborough Building Society's product manager for mortgages, said: "This will be a welcome boost for many prospective homeowners who might have struggled to raise a sufficient deposit.

An 85 per cent LTV mortgage discounted to 2.59 per cent for two years might be perfect for those looking for very low repayments."

The building society's two year discounted variable rate mortgage now offers an 85 per cent LTV, increased from 75 per cent.

A selection of other discounted variable rates now feature LTV increased from 80 per cent to 85 per cent.

Earlier this month, the Treasury announced a package of measures to benefit customers in the mortgage market.

Extra protection will be provided for people looking to buy property for sale in the UK, with the regulation of second charge mortgages to be transferred to the Financial Services Authority.ADNFCR-1222-ID-800378332-ADNFCR
