Edmonton appeals to commuters

Families are increasingly looking at London's suburbs for a place that offers a mix of convenience and a less hectic life than the inner city areas.

Edmonton could fit the bill for those hoping to settle in a new area that would suit the needs of young children but still ensure a relatively easy commute in to the office each day.

The suburb is just 8.6 miles from Charing Cross and has strong transport links that make the trip into the capital straightforward and reliable. There are three rail stations within the area, as well as bus routes directly into the centre and other surrounding regions.

Property for sale in Edmonton may also offer better value for money that the more expensive areas of London and therefore it could be perfect for families who are looking for a bit more space to raise children.

Parents will also be keen to check out the local education options in Edmonton and the surrounding Enfield district are home to a number of primary and secondary schools.

There are also a number of local facilities that means it isn't always necessary to take the trip in to the capital. There is a wide range of retailers in Edmonton in the town centre shopping centre as well as a regular market offering a mix of goods.

Edmonton also has the benefit of some great public gardens and open spaces that could appeal to those who want to take a break from the office life and get out and about during the weekend.

Bury Lodge gardens, Churchfields Recreation grounds and Craig Park are all great places to go for an afternoon walk, especially as the weather starts to warm up.ADNFCR-1222-ID-801724423-ADNFCR
