Home to around 5,000 people, Earls Colne boasts some stunning historic buildings that give the local area a real sense of history.

Many of the houses date back to the 17th and 18th century and a number have been subjected to extensive restoration works in recent years to return them to their former glory.

With plenty of property for sale in Earls Colne, anyone moving to the area will be able to pick from a wide choice of differing architecture styles and there should be something to suit most budgets.

There is lots to see and do in Earls Colne and there are great facilities for both local residents and visitors.

The town has two golf clubs and a well-equipped leisure centre - perfect for anyone hoping to stay fit or make some new like-minded friends.

For those who enjoy some outdoor exercise, there are plenty of lovely walks in and around the area. The Colne Valley Path and the Essex Way are popular with ramblers and will challenge even the most experienced walker.

There is also the active Earls Colne Allotment Association Committee, which could provide the perfect chance to discover the joy of growing your own fruit, vegetables and flowers.  Anyone wanting to get their own allotment is advised to join the waiting list as soon as possible as the plots are very much in demand with local residents.

The village hall is also a hive of local activity, with regular events including a French appreciation society, local theatre productions and a mothers and toddler group.ADNFCR-1222-ID-801718262-ADNFCR
