Ditchling: The ideal family village life

Ditchling: The ideal family village life

When looking for places to live in the UK, there are a number of things that people might consider, including location, amenities and the ability to enjoy a way of life that suits all of your needs.

For example, young professionals might like the fast way of life city centre living promotes, while older residents will want something more community based. For those with young families though, one great option they might turn towards is living in one of the many villages that are dotted around the countryside.

These offer the sort of peace and quiet that many may be looking for when they are bringing up their kids, away from loud streets and busy roads. And there can be few options around the country that will be better than that found when viewing property for sale in Ditchling.

The East Sussex village has a mere 2,000 residents, making it the sort of quiet place that is ideal for a young family. Relaxation and peace are definitely on the cards in this serene little corner of the country.

However, while peace and quiet will be an important consideration, there are also a number of other things that will also be vital to look at, such as the facilities on offer, as no one will want to travel too often.

Thankfully in Ditchling, residents have access to a number of local shops for their groceries and other immediate needs, while there is also a pub for evenings out when mum and dad are looking for something to do.

Other highlights of the town include the fact that it has a good schooling system, which will always be important to parents. There are not many options, but the fact that kids can go through the entire system within the village and nearby settlements without too much travelling will be very much preferable.

Younger children will attend Ditchling (St Margaret's) Primary before moving onto secondary school in neighbouring Hassocks.ADNFCR-1222-ID-801635253-ADNFCR
