Devon housing development is completed

Those looking for property for sale in Devon will be happy to hear that a property development in the region has been completed and is ready for residents to move in.

A final cost of the scheme is believed to be around £5 million and the fund was boosted by financial supported from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), Torridge District Council and Devon & Cornwall Housing (DCH) to the tune of £2.6 million.

Those looking for property to rent in Devon will also be pleased that the development is complete, as it includes 32 homes which are available for rent and 14 for shared ownership.

Set in Holsworthy, the housing development is in high demand as over 250 people have bid for the rented homes.

Alan Partridge, development policy manager, Devon & Cornwall Housing, said: "We are extremely pleased with the quality and finish of these homes, which come from Taylor Wimpey’s standard housing range, and we hope that residents will benefit from low running costs resulting from the renewable technologies incorporated in the heating and hot water systems."

All properties have roof solar panels, heat recovery systems, radiators which use off-peak electricity and high levels of insulation.
