Development scheme opens properties in London

The first stage of a development of new houses in north-west London has been completed.

Yesterday (June 16th), property developer A2Dominion announced that it had finished building the first set of houses as part of its £31 million expansion on a 15-acre site in Stanmore.

The company's development director Danny Lynch said: "We're pleased to be providing much-needed high quality affordable housing at the Honeypot Lane development, which will help to meet demand from local people."

A2Dominion confirmed that 14 of its proposed 200 affordable houses and apartments are now ready to rent.

By 2014, all 200 developments, which range from one to three-bedroom apartments to four and five-bedroom houses, are expected to be finished.

As well as being available to rent, A2Dominion plans on building 78 one and two-bedroom shared ownership apartments for those who cannot afford to buy their own house at the moment.

Last month, the property developer announced the launch of a new shared ownership scheme for apartments in Hampshire. An open day for visitors to see the flats, which cost from £80,000, is being held on Saturday (June 19th).
