Christmas moving date set for Selby property

A new housing development in Selby will welcome new residents as quickly as Christmas in what is good news for those keen on property for sale in Yorkshire.

Swans Way, located in the Abbots Road area of Selby, is a £1.3 million development which consists of 11 new homes and two two-bedroom flats. As well as the homes themselves, the development will also see a newly-regenerated church and community hall.

As well as taking in views of locals before being given the go-ahead, the development also took in the views of local school children. The name of the new development was created by Barwic Parade Community Primary School.

Councillor Gillian Ivey, deputy leader of Selby council, told the York Press: "This development shows how we have worked closely with a range of people to bring this important scheme to fruition and deliver affordable homes to the people who need them."

The government recently promised a fund to help stagnated property developments get going again.
