Chelmsford is a reason to think again about Essex.

Chelmsford is a reason to think again about Essex.

Essex, contrary to how it is often perceived and portrayed, is a lively yet, at times, serene county and property seekers looking for a house for sale in Chelmsford will be please to know that the town is no different.

Chelmsford has been Essex's county town since 1250 and the town itself is located almost bang in the centre of Essex. Chelmsford really does offer the best of both worlds to its residents. It lies just 30 miles from the truly bright lights of London, while also being conveniently placed near smaller, relaxed areas such as Clacton on Sea, Kirby le Soken and all around the Tendring Peninsula.

Chelmsford is also ideally located for transport links. Essex boasts an extensive rail network which includes the town. From Chelmsford you can navigate your way to all corners of the county and, thanks to its proximity to London, even further afield. The town is just 30 minutes away from three of the country's main airports. This is convenient for travelling to catch a flight without having to endure the traffic that goes with living on the doorstep of an airport.

There's no shortage of things to keep you occupied during your free time in Chelmsford either. Not only are there extensive shopping facilities and fabulous restaurants and bars you can also take on board some of the area's culture by visiting the cathedral or the museum. Not forgetting V Festival for you music fans. The town hosts one leg of one of the country's biggest live music festivals every year within Hylands Park.

All in all, Chelmsford has a lot to be proud of and can offer potential residents a host of reasons to set up home there. It belies the traditional Essex stereotype completely and is a lively, bubbly town with good transport links, excellent location and all sorts of things to see and do.ADNFCR-1222-ID-800704201-ADNFCR
