Caterham also offers more than just good location, it also has great educational options for families opting to relocate to the area. There is a mix of private and state schools, including Caterham School and Oakhyrst Grange.

There is a number of quality sporting facilities in the local area and there are two popular football clubs which have regular fixtures - Caterham Pumas and Queens Park FC. The town also has a shared ground that accommodates the local cricket and rugby clubs.

For those who enjoy exercise outdoors, Croydon is close to a National Trail, that runs from Farnham to Dover and passes by Godalming, Guildford, Dorking and along the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and Kent Downs AONB.

In terms of entertainment, there is plenty to appeal to young children and art fans, as Caterham is home to a skate park, a community arts and theatre venue, as well as the East Surrey Museum.
