Buckinghamshire: the idyllic English county just a stones throw from the capital

The idyllic county of Buckinghamshire is a popular choice with all manner of dwellers thanks to the traditional English county feel it boasts and its proximity to the capital.

Many workers look for flats to rent in Buckinghamshire and commute to work, however, it's so much more than a place to make camp. The county offers a number of picturesque, charming towns including Aylesbury, Amersham and High Wycombe.

It's not just rented property available in the county either. Many families and young professionals seek a house for sale in Buckinghamshire; prices are reasonable in comparison with general stock market trends and are far cheaper than buying a property in the capital.

The county is served by a whole host of public transport links and large motorways so if you should want to get away then you won't be inconvenienced. The M1 cuts through Milton Keynes in the north of the county while the M40, M25 and M4 also meander their way in and out of the county to differing extents.

Train stations aren't in short supply, with numerous rail links available to take you down into London or in any other direction you may wish to head.

Some of the attractions available include Thames river explorations, as parts of the river fall inside the county, numerous family friendly museums as well as several national trust properties for you to explore. The county is gearing up to become ever more popular and well-known as it will be hosting parts of the London 2012 Olympics.

It is also home to Chilterns peaks, which is a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. You can even get involved with walking Chilterns three peaks challenge which involves walking all three of the peaks.

In short, Buckinghamshire offers all sorts of people the convenience of being near to London without the hectic rushed lifestyle, the increased prices and the noise.
